Welcome to the Paint Chip Repair Page -
featuring LANGKA
MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE WITH LANKA
WOW folks does Lanka ever work WELL. Langka is Very simple to use fix for chips
that you may have in your paint. It's affordable and works like a charm!
After using Langka many times now ... I have become very good at applying Lanka.
I use a slightly different method then the directions say so I figured I would
list them here >>>>
A). Apply the touch up with a toothpick in several layers over a period of a few
days with a least 24hours between each coat. You need to apply it in VERY thin
coats (This is extremely important so each layer fully hardens). Build up the
touch up paint so it is higher than the regular paint surface.
B). Let the paint sit for a full 48 hours after the last coat was applied. In
cold weather wait 4 days.
C). Get an old t-shirt - (Old meaning "thin and soft"). Use a t-shirt that is a
different color then your paint.
D). Wrap the t-shirt around the plastic Credit-card-type plastic included with
the kit. Wrap it in only one layer not multiple layers.
E). Take a pin size amount of the Langka and place it on an edge of the plastic
wrapped in the t-shirt. Then pull the plastic across the blob in a light
scraping motion (as if you were filling a hole in drywall with a putty knife).
Keep the motion in one direction only. You should be able to see the paint color
on your t-shirt. Continue to apply tiny pin size amounts to your cloth as
needed, changing the surface area each time, until your touch up paint is flush
with the regular paint. Take your time and do this slowly. Don't push too hard
F). Let it sit for another few hours, then clean up the area.
G). If you are not satisfied with your work for whatever reason then just
continue to remove the touch up with more Lanka until it is all gone and start
over from scratch.
H). Apply the clear coat as directed if you have it.
Follow the banner at the bottom, to the website which shows a video of a young
child fixing chips - it's that simple!
Of course I use this on my car (or I would NOT recommend it to others).
This is made by "Langka" - the Blob Eliminator!!!!!
Good luck!
